Saint Augustine of Canterbury School is a pre-kindergarten through grade eight school. Classes for pre-kindergarten through grade five are self-contained, while grades six through eight are departmentalized. Therefore the faculty consists of twenty-five full time teachers. There are also full and/or part-time teachers for seven special subject areas: Computer, Art, Music, Library, Technology, Physical Education, Band, World Language, plus services for Comp Ed and speech. Our teachers are fully certified Catholic professional educators who have specific teaching qualifications. The availability of aides and support staff is a valuable asset for our students.

The faculty share their gifts and talents freely to help meet the needs of all students. To further diversity, teaching techniques, and implement curriculum guidelines, each teacher has a school approved plan for continuous professional development. In addition to interacting with consultants our school provides all have been participating in developmental activities which not only keep them up to date in their field, but empowers them to bring new learning to their classrooms. Many of the teachers seek and attain available grants in various topics and subject areas. Hence, the students are enriched as they are the recipients of each teacher’s enrichment.
Strong levels of communication and cooperation exist among the faculty, administration, and parents. As a result, there is a seamless blending of expectation and teaching between home, school, and parish--which results in creating an environment of comfort and trust.
